In Zurich, a team of talented professionals with extensive technical experience (former employees of major tech companies) is launching a B2B project — a system to evaluate the effectiveness of large language models on real-world data. They are developing automated testers, benchmarks, internal metrics, and interactive dashboards to accurately assess how well models perform for chatbots and customer agents.
Responsibilities of the CAIO / Chief Scientific Officer:
• Develop architecture frameworks for LLM quality assessment.
• Lead data collection, prompt tuning, and benchmarking processes.
• Create automated evaluation systems.
• Develop new metrics in categories such as usefulness and safety.
• Influence product strategy and communicate with clients.
Requirements:
• MSc or PhD in machine learning, computer science, or applied mathematics.
• At least 5 years of experience in AI/ML research, especially in NLP or working with LLMs.
• Deep understanding of transformers, prompt engineering techniques, and model fine-tuning.
• Publications in leading journals and prestigious conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, etc.).
• Experience speaking at relevant events.
• Participation in open source projects or development of proprietary ML tools for infrastructure.
