➡️ Robots are creating their own counterparts
This is about the company Unitree. By the way, if anyone is not yet aware, they are already leading in the number of humanoid robots shipped — those that look more like humans than competitors’ models.
As of January 2026, it has been officially confirmed that over 5,500 robots have been shipped. And throughout 2025, production reached over 6,500 units — real terminators in the world of robotics.
For comparison — here are the figures of well-known players:
Tesla Optimus approximately 150 units
Figure AI also around 150
Agility Robotics — roughly the same
Now the situation is as follows: Unitree is launching mass production of robots on its assembly lines and is even beginning to create copies of itself (see the video).
The most affordable robot costs about $5,900, with more expensive models available. If you’re interested, you can check out a review of this device here.
So, what do you think about robots already starting to make other robots?
