A new feature has been introduced in Claude Cowork — Dispatch, which allows task management on a PC via a smartphone.
With Dispatch, you can send commands to Mac or Windows computers directly from the Claude Cowork mobile app. The app displays a real-time activity feed: it notifies about the completion of specific work stages and prompts for confirmation when important actions need to be taken. All data remains on the user’s device and is not sent to Anthropic servers, ensuring privacy.
Key use cases for Dispatch include automatically generating reports from documents in a folder, sorting downloads by type and date, converting receipt screenshots into Excel tables, or creating concise summaries of multiple articles within a single file.
This feature is currently available only to subscribers of the Claude Max plan. To use it, you need to install and run the Claude Desktop application on your computer and link it to your mobile device via settings. An extension for Pro plan users is in development, but no specific release date has been announced yet.
