Now, Claude Code can create fully-fledged design mockups directly in Figma.
Reverse integration — translating design from Figma into code — has long been implemented through Figma MCP, but the new feature, although it looks a bit unusual, essentially complements and completes the entire set of tools.
Previously, development followed a more or less linear scenario: first an idea, then design, and finally coding. Now, there is an opportunity to launch product creation directly within the IDE.
Simply provide a prompt to the agent, and it will generate the code. Thanks to the new Figma MCP feature, this code can immediately be transformed into convenient, editable layers in Figma. You can evaluate the entire picture, make edits or additions, and then synchronize them back into the code.
This not only speeds up work and simplifies processes but also represents two important points: firstly, it is an equivalent of Claude Code specifically for designers; secondly, the new approach to prompting coding agents has become more precise and understandable — easier to control and use when working on large projects.
Overall, very impressive!
