Now, Claude by default has access to one million tokens for context, significantly expanding its capabilities for handling long tasks. Additionally, request fees are no longer charged if their length exceeds a certain limit—more details can be provided, but essentially, extended context is now available not only via API on Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6 but also in Claude Code with Max, Team, and Enterprise subscriptions. However, some users of the chat seem to have been somewhat “forgotten,” although they don’t really bother with compacting—it’s not a big deal for them.
