The Age of Losing Meaning Is Coming
In the coming months, we will witness millions of people confronting the collapse of their notions about the meaning of life.
A year ago, this seemed very abstract, theoretical—something not really for me, not about my reality. But now, even the most talented engineers I know admit: what they studied their entire lives has suddenly become completely useless in just seconds.
Soon, millions will experience a similar awakening. For some, it will be a real tragedy—feeling that everything is too dangerous or unnecessary. For others, it will be an opportunity for change and new possibilities. Now, one person can accomplish in a week what previously took months of work by an entire team.
That’s why this is so important. Because for a person, meaning, structure, and attention are much more vital than money and power. The latter arise precisely because we invest our views and energy into them.
One way to get rid of panic or anxiety is simply to disconnect from GPT and Claude, to abandon them forever. Let them disappear from our lives and remain only in historical memory. If your happiness doesn’t depend on others’ opinions, and a stable income is the only condition for feeling comfortable—this is largely the safest path. Painless and straightforward.
Another option is to leverage opportunities: find new markets for business, change jobs or even professions. Today, humanity is opening horizons that never existed before. It’s like participating in privatization: everyone gains equal and generous access to vast financial flows. Over the next 3–4 years, trillions of dollars are expected to be earned—it’s just a matter of whether you participate or miss the chance.
On the other hand, we are witnessing the collapse of the old system. This is the end of the “old times” and the beginning of a new development phase. Neither liberal democracy nor oil dictatorships will withstand the shift in the economic model: when automated systems do the work, and capital shifts into technology sectors—chips, electricity, or new infrastructure (from pipelines to RL pipelines). In this context, millions continue living in an ongoing war: against Ukraine, Iran, or Taiwan. If I had powerful investors, I might even consider creating a new religion.
After the destruction of the old world, something new will inevitably emerge. The only question is what place you will take there yourself.
