Perplexity has introduced an interesting new feature — a constantly running local AI system called Personal Computer.
This system operates on a Mac mini, which acts as a proxy for the recently released Perplexity Computer — it appeared just a couple of weeks ago.
In other words, the new technology combines the Perplexity Computer with a fully customized local environment: the artificial intelligence can freely move between different tools, perform tasks independently, and continue working even without human intervention. It can be accessed remotely from any device, has persistent memory, and supports various connections.
Overall, it’s something like OpenClaw — a kind of interface with access to your personal files and projects directly on your device.
Currently, the waitlist is already open.
