For most ordinary users, the so-called “hamsters,” the concepts of Vibe coding and ICO often seem the same. They believe that by performing meaningless actions—clicking “buy” or “compile” buttons—they will inevitably find happiness, joy, and love. But essentially, this is an illusion.
If you invest money in tokens during an ICO, you are most likely providing liquidity for venture investors. And if you create applications without a clear idea of how to build a truly functioning business on this, you’re paying for virtual coins in an online game—just like paying for in-game currency in an MMO.
Neither participation in financial pyramids nor launching another app like a “training manager” will make you ultra-rich. But all of these experiences provide valuable lessons. You can learn how markets work and what truly matters for future engineers: not just the ability to write large volumes of code, but the capacity to find effective solutions to real customer problems. This should become a key skill—being able to solve important and valuable tasks for users in the most optimal way.
