Alright, let’s assume they remove all celebrities from movies with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, take out the well-known actors — so what are post-production studios supposed to do then? How should they properly justify their budgets to clients?
I’ve mentioned before that ILM and Framestore should step up their game so they also start pushing back against ByteDance. Like, “learned from our robots,” and now they’re trying to clone Godzilla or the Terminator. That’s not good.
But look at how well everything is done and edited! Of course, there are questions about 4K quality, logarithms, bit depth — all those details. But damn, where were we just a year ago? Two or three years ago? Back then, it was the stone age. Backgrounds were painted manually, did they even know what rendering was back then? They’d leave a ten-second scene to render overnight… That’s how it was.
Where is the industry heading?
